About the game
Understand them. Outplay them. Destroy them. Divergence: Fracture is a top-down tactical space combat game built around focused arena battles, physical armor simulation, destructible internal systems, and Newtonian movement. A ship can survive the hit. Its systems may not. Your warship has overall structural integrity, but damage is localized. Penetrating fire can strip hull sections, cripple engines, disable weapons, rupture ammunition, damage sensors, or destroy the core. Command the whole warship. Angle your armor and maneuver with Newtonian physics. Draw from a shared energy reserve to overdrive your thrusters, evade incoming fire, or unleash powerful railgun shots. Exploit sensor shadows to break contact, then direct repairs where restoring one system could change the engagement. Fight players. Command the scenario. Online PvP is the main event, but the battlefield is yours to configure. Fight other captains in focused arenas, enter solo against AI-controlled warships, cooperate with another captain against bots, or place human and AI ships on either team. Not every battle is fair. Some arenas replace symmetry with a tactical problem. In a Power Duel, a coordinated pair of lighter warships confronts one heavily armed adversary. One side has mobility, multiple attack vectors, and reinforcements. The other has armor, mass, and enough firepower to crush either opponent.
