About the game
KILL OR BE KILLED Extinct Forest is an immersive First-Person Survival Shooter that drops you into a nightmare. Lost deep within a secluded, prehistoric forest, you are no longer at the top of the food chain. Your mission is simple: Survive the wilderness, find a way out, and don't get eaten. There are no floating health bars, no mini-maps, and no artificial crosshairs. The interface is invisible so nothing stands between you and the danger. Audio-Based Awareness: You won't find an ammo counter on your screen. You must rely on your character's voice and audio cues to keep track of your remaining ammunition. Listen closely. Visual Health System: Without health packs to hoard, your survival depends on finding cover. When injured, your vision becomes obscured by blood. Escape the danger and rest to let your wounds heal over time. Iron Sights Aiming: To hit your target, you must physically look down the sights of your weapon. Combat is visceral, direct, and requires a steady hand. EXPLORE AND SOLVE The forest is vast and holds the secrets of those who failed to survive before you. Unforgiving Wilderness: Powered by Unreal Engine 5, explore a dense, atmospheric forest with dynamic weather and day/night cycles. Varied Puzzles: Progress through the environment by solving a mix of logic challenges and physical obstacles to unlock new paths. The Threat: Fight against aggressive dinosaurs that react to sound and movement. Choose your fights wisely—sometimes running into the dense foliage is your only option. NEXT-GEN TECHNOLOGY Experience a visually stunning world built for modern hardware. High-Fidelity Graphics: Detailed vegetation and lifelike dinosaur animations bring the forest to life. Performance Support: Full support for NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR ensures high frame rates without sacrificing visual quality. Are you the hunter, or the prey? Welcome to the Extinct Forest.
